Flavors of the Falls @ Flavors of the Falls

Cannon Falls is the place to be on October 5th – 6th, 2019. Events planned throughout the community include: Artisan Plaza’s Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner, Ferndale Market’s Open House, Cannon River Winery’s Music at the Winery, Tilion Brewing Company drafting a new craft beer, and the Sogn Valley Art Fair at ArtOrg will feature beautiful art and artisan foods.

The Cannon Falls Fire Department kicks off Saturday morning, October 5th, with a Pancake Breakfast in the Public Safety Building at 320 Hoffman St W. This event is scheduled for 8 am – 11 am.  Come and meet two of the Vikings Cheerleaders too.

On October 5th from 10 am – 2 pm, the Cannon Falls History Society Museum will be moderating Historical Guided Tours of Cannon Falls on a trolley. These tours will start at the Cannon Falls Historical Society Museum, 206 W Mill St.

To avoid parking issues, there will be another trolley that will be traveling between Ferndale Market to the 3 hotels, on to Artisan Plaza and up to the City Parking Lot on Hwy 19 next to the Little Cannon River. This trolley will be making this loop every 30 minutes to help the public move around our community to all of our events.

Trick or Treat Trot @ Historic Downtown Cannon Falls

Children aged 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, are invited to the Chamber’s Trick or Treat Trot in historic downtown Cannon Falls from 4 – 5 pm on Halloween, October 31st. Over 25 Chamber Members will be handing out candy at their store/office fronts. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.  Bring the whole family and have a ghouling good time.

Deck the Falls @ Historical Cannon Falls

You and your family are invited to kick off the holidays with the sights, sounds and tastes of the season in beautiful, historic Cannon Falls. Not only is it Deck the Falls day in Cannon Falls, but it is also Small Business Saturday, when shoppers are encouraged to support small local businesses. Along with the Deck the Falls events that are planned for Saturday, November 30, local merchants will have their businesses all decked out for the season and many will offer specials throughout the day.

While shopping and visiting local businesses, shoppers can register to qualify for the Holiday Drawing for $900 in prizes during the Lighting of the Tree Ceremony that takes place immediately following the Deck the Falls parade.  The Lighting of the Tree will be held down by the Gazebo in the City Parking Lot. The 2019 Deck the Falls Poster and  schedule of all the activities will be included on our web page in Mid-October 2019.
