The 105th Cannon Valley Fair is set for July 1 – 4, 2020. The fair’s 2020 schedule will be posted on their website www.cannonvalleyfair.org in late Spring or early May 2020. This event is 4 days of jam-packed fun with horse shows, bands, carnival, demo derby, tractor pull, and harness racing. Gold Star Amusements will be on the Midway during the Fair. Don’t forget the great assortment of food and treats too.
Unlimited Ride Wristbands good for one time slot 1 pm – 5 pm or 5 pm – 10 pm, Good for one day only – $22 per day per person per time slot. Advance Sale Price is $17 per day per person per time slot. Advance tickets are available at Althoff Hardware & Gifts starting in May, 2020.

Even though the Cannon Valley Fair and 4th of July Parade have been cancelled, that doesn’t mean nothing is happening. On Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th, there will be at least 4 fair-food vendors at the fairgrounds from 11 am – 8 pm on Friday and 11 am – 11 pm on Saturday.
The American Legion Post #142 is also having a beer garden open these 2 days too. Social Distancing (6 ft apart) should be practiced at all times.
Don’t forget the Fireworks will be happening at dusk on Saturday, July 4th. Social distancing will be necessary at this public event. Bring your masks too.
APPRECIATION CRUISE ON 4TH OF JULY
The Kraft-Ostrom American Legion Post #142 and the Nelson-Scofield VFW Post #4452 will proudly display the Color Guard on Saturday, July 4th, at 10:30 am. This cruise-walk will start at the Cannon Valley Senior Center, 120 State St. From there they will head down Minnesota St to North 2nd. This small cruise-walk will be led by the Cannon Falls Police Department. The Cannon Falls Color Guard will follow along with fire trucks, ambulance, and signs recognizing our community’s healthcare workers.
From North 2nd St, the cruise will proceed onto Mill Street W through town and out to the Cannon Valley Fairgrounds. Please follow Social Distancing Protocol during this walk and then come out to the fairgrounds to enjoy the fair food vendors and the beverages that are being served by the American Legion Post #142.

The parade line-up will be at the Cannon Falls High School. The parade begins at the East Side Park and follows Minnesota Street to 2nd Street where it will turn left and go to Mill Street. The parade route turns right on Mill Street and follows that over the Mill Street Bridge and on to the Cannon Valley Fairgrounds.

Celebrate Cannon Falls’ local independent food and drink scene at Flavors of the Falls 2020! This festival is free, family friendly, and offers events hosted by Ferndale Market, Artisan Plaza Food Hall, Tilion Brewing Company, LLC, and Cannon River Winery. At this two-day festival, happening at the same time as the Sogn Valley Art Fair, visitors can enjoy the best of Cannon Falls’ food, beer, wine, plus hay rides, live music, and more.

You and your family are invited to kick off the holidays with the sights, sounds and tastes of the season in beautiful, historic Cannon Falls. Santa will be in the parade!
The Deck the Falls Parade will begin at 5 pm and go along 4th Street to Mill Street, and then turn into the City Parking Lot. The Lighting of the Tree will follow the parade. The Holiday Tree is located between the Cannon River and John Burch Park along State Hwy 19.
Don’t leave yet! The fireworks will start right after the Lighting of the Tree. This was a beautiful experience last year, so come and enjoy again this year!
