Come to Cannon Falls to support and honor our veterans! Local citizens and patriotic groups honor and remember those who served this country. This Memorial Day Parade starts at 10:30 am. The parade will start at Merchants Bank on 3rd Street and go south to Park Street and turn right. Follow Park Street to 4th Street and turn right again. At the Mil Street intersection, take a right. The parade route will end on Hwy 19 at the Cannon Falls Community Cemetery. There will be a Memorial Service at the Cannon Falls Community Cemetery beginning at 11 am at the Colvill Memorial site.
APPRECIATION CRUISE ON 4TH OF JULY
The Kraft-Ostrom American Legion Post #142 and the Nelson-Scofield VFW Post #4452 will proudly display the Color Guard on Saturday, July 4th, at 10:30 am. This cruise-walk will start at the Cannon Valley Senior Center, 120 State St. From there they will head down Minnesota St to North 2nd. This small cruise-walk will be led by the Cannon Falls Police Department. The Cannon Falls Color Guard will follow along with fire trucks, ambulance, and signs recognizing our community’s healthcare workers.
From North 2nd St, the cruise will proceed onto Mill Street W through town and out to the Cannon Valley Fairgrounds. Please follow Social Distancing Protocol during this walk and then come out to the fairgrounds to enjoy the fair food vendors and the beverages that are being served by the American Legion Post #142.
CANCELLED – Fireworks will still go on as planned.

The parade line-up will be at the Cannon Falls High School. The parade begins at the East Side Park and follows Minnesota Street to 2nd Street where it will turn left and go to Mill Street. The parade route turns right on Mill Street and follows that over the Mill Street Bridge and on to the Cannon Valley Fairgrounds.

On Thursday, August 27th, the Chamber will be holding an “OPEN-AIR” FAIR from 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm in downtown Cannon Falls. Chamber Members and Non-Chamber Member Vendors can have a table or display in front of their stores/offices on Main St, 4th St, and Mill St. There will be plenty of spaces available for Chamber Members and Non-Chamber Vendors who are not located in Downtown Cannon Falls. Everyone is invited to participate in this fun outing!
Having a booth space is FREE, but you do need to register with the Chamber to secure a location. The registration form and ST-19 form are both on the Events Page on the Chamber’s webpage at www.cannonfalls.org Registration Deadline is Monday, August 17th. You can also reach the Chamber at 507-263-2289 or email email@example.com to have a registration form, rules and regulations, and ST-19 form emailed out to you.

Celebrate Cannon Falls’ local independent food and drink scene at Flavors of the Falls 2020! This festival is free, family friendly, and offers events hosted by Ferndale Market, Artisan Plaza Food Hall, Tilion Brewing Company, LLC, and Cannon River Winery. At this two-day festival, happening at the same time as the Sogn Valley Art Fair, visitors can enjoy the best of Cannon Falls’ food, beer, wine, plus hay rides, live music, and more.

Family Fun for Everyone!! Children aged 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, are invited to the Chamber’s Trick or Treat Trot in historic downtown Cannon Falls from 3 pm – 5 pm on the Friday before Halloween, October 30th. 40 Chamber Members will be handing out candy at their store/office fronts. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
The Trick or Treaters’ route will be going in “1” direction this year. Face Masks and Social Distancing will be required to have a safe event. For even more safety precautions, all of the vendors will be wearing masks and gloves to pass out their candy. Some vendors have come up with really creative ways to safely get the candy to the children. Come and check it out!
Bring the whole family and have a ghouling good time. There were over 700 children who participated in 2019. Additional Halloween events are planned around Cannon Falls for that afternoon and evening.
